Community Stadium
The Kakopetria Community Stadium was the seat of the Kakopetria Sports Association (AEK), which was founded in 1984 and came from the unification of PAOK Kakopetrias and Olympus Kakopetrias. The Kakopetria Community Stadium is the only one in Solea that is planted with grass.
Kakopetria is located in the southwestern part of the Nicosia capital and is built at the foot of the Troodos Mountain range, in particular on the north side of the mountain range. It is located at an altitude of 667 metres and is the highest village in the valley of Solea. Fruit trees (mainly apple trees, pear trees, plums, apricots, peach trees and cherry trees), vegetables (mainly potatoes and tomatoes), vines (with table and wine grape varieties) and a few grains are also grown in the area. Kakopetria is well known for its good quality apples.
For more information about the village you can visit the official website or contact the Community Council.
