Environmental Information Centre
The Environmental Information Centre is located near Troodos Square. The Centre aims through its exhibits and the services it provides to highlight the importance and uniqueness of the Park and to inform visitors about the facilities offered by the Park as well as on various environmental issues. It includes an exhibition room, a screening and lecture hall and a small shop. Outside there is a circular botanical and geological path.
In the showroom there are various exhibits related to the Park and related to the environment, geology, flora, fauna, various habitats, recreation, history and culture.
In the projection room, a 10-minute film is displayed, which provides information on Cyprus’s creation, geology, hydrology, flora and fauna.
The path, finally, is part of the Centre and is 250 meters long. Here visitors can get to know a few plants in the park and see samples of the main rocks that make up the Troodos Ophiolite Complex.
