Flora – Fauna

The vegetation in the valley and in the forests of the Troodos mountain range is highly varied due to factors such as altitude, exposure and slope, geological subsoil and so on. So in some areas, the vegetation is dense and elsewhere sparse, else monotone and elsewhere with alternations.
In the fauna we find both mammals of the forest, such as the fox, hare and hedgehog, as well as a variety of birds and reptiles. However, the endemic species of Cyprus is a species of wild goat, the so-called Agrino (or Moufflon)
