Forests – Rivers
The Troodos mountain range is the backbone of Cyprus and is covered both by the Troodos forest and by the forest of Kakopetria, as well as by the Adelfi forest, which has joined the Natura 2000 network. The Troodos forests bear rich flora and fauna, while their ecological, scientific and economic value is priceless.
The Solea valley crosses the Klarios river, which is divided into two important tributaries, The Karkotis and Garillis streams. They all contribute to the total volume of water flowing through the valley with its beneficial properties.

Kakopetria Forest
The Kakopetria Forest covers most of the Troodos Mountains and has been declared a National Forest Park. Its management has been undertaken by the Department of Forests. Two rivers spring from the forest, Garrillis and Karkotis, which join in the villa
