Hora’s Mouti – Selladi tou Karamanli Nature Trail

This is an old nature trail that offers amazing views of Morphou Bay. The path passes through a thick forest of pine, known as “The Black Forests”, which is one of the most untouched by humans forests. In the middle of the route there is another short path with access to a giant yew (Quercus coccifera subsp. Calliprinos). The path is linked to the network of trails in the area, namely: Doxa Soi O Theos (Glory of God) – Moutti tis Choras (The peak of the Capital), Madari – Selladi tou Karamanli and Selladi tou Karamanli – Kannavia.

Starting point: Moutti tis Choras area, 1km after the village Spilia to Agia Irini / Kannavia.
Starting point (b): The site of Selladi tou Karamanli, 1.5km from Saranti / Lagoudera to Spilia or 6km from Spilia on a dirt road.
Length: 3,8km- Linear
Time: 1.5 hours
Degree of difficulty: 2 – Moderate degree of difficulty, with particular soil morphology characteristics, such as steep altitude variations (drift and / or downhill), narrow and / or steep terrain.
