Linos Museum

The Linos Museum is housed in old (or Palia) Kakopetria, on the main road. It consists of three thematic modules, the first is devoted to wine, the second to bread and the last to oil.

In the first room on the ground floor, where the foyer is located, are the mangers that donkeys would eat. In the main room, there is a large tank in which all the grape production was placed, as well as a large lever that was pushed by donkeys with the help of at least two people. As it was pumped, this lever compressed the grapes with great force and crushed them. The grape juice was then poured into large baskets. In the rooms of the first floor floor, there are photos and films that present the history of the Museum, as well as pictures from the three thematic sections of the Museum.

A visit to the Museum can be arranged by a telephone call to the Community Council.

An acoustic guide is also available.
