CYTA (Cyprus Telecommunication Authority) office
In Kakopetria there is a CYTA office for the immediate service of the citizens of the Solea region. CY.T.A provides a wide range of services and facilities to meet the ever-growing needs of its customers in voice and data applications in both fixed and mobile communications.
In 1955 it is the year of the establishment of the Cyprus Telecommunications Internal Authority (CTIA), which undertook internal telecommunications, and six years later, AETK also takes over the responsibility of the external telecommunications and is renamed to the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (A.TH.K, Cyprus Telecommunications Authority, CYTA in British), which it maintains until today. At the same time, in 1963, Cyprus became a member of the International Telecommunications Union and the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization.
CYTA is the first organization in Cyprus to be evaluated on the basis of the quality management model of the EFQM European Quality Management Foundation and ranked at the top of 5 stars at Recognized for Excellence. It is also the largest organization in the wider state sector in Cyprus, which first secured the ISO 9001: 2000 certificate.
