he Platania camp site is one of four in Cyprus. It is located on the road Kakopetria to Troodos, 5 km from Kakopetria to the left of the road, before the forestry station of Platania. It provides camping and caravan spaces with a total capacity of 150 caravans and tents together. The maximum number of people in the touring area is 600 people.

It is open all-year-round for caravans and from June to September for tents.

There are toilets, showers, water (which is closed during the winter season due to ice) and a kitchen, which can be used by the campers. The area is usually flooded by holidaymakers from June to September.

The area of ​​Platania is of particular interest from a flora point of view, which includes both forest trees and low growing vegetation, among which are many endemic species.

The Forestry Department manages the camp site.
