The Department of Forests, as well as the Local Authorities, have developed a large number of excursion spaces, distributed throughout the geographical area of the ​​Geopark, but with greater density in the Troodos National Forest Park. These areas offer all the necessary facilities such as tables, kiosks, drinking water, parking areas, sanitary facilities, playgrounds. Here, visitors can enjoy a quiet excursion between the pine trees and the plane trees and the fresh air with his family or company.

Platania is located at an altitude of 1100 metres, 6 km away from the village of Kakopetria, on the road to Troodos. It has a capacity of 1300 people and is the largest and most popular tour of Cyprus.

It is one of the most common points of ‘escape’, as the inhabitants of the island, and tourists alike, will find shade during the summer months. It is located in one of the most beautiful places of Troodos, where the three forests (Adelphi, Troodos, Limassol) meet.
