The building works of the Multipurpose Centre in Evrychou began at the time of the late Metropolitan Chrysanthos, just opposite the building that today houses the Holy Metropolis of Morphou. After his death on the 21st of January, 1996, Mr. Neophytos received the baton of the continuation of the project, when the Metropolitan was enthroned in 1998. The project was completed and improved and its operation began on the 1st of May 2001.
