Multipurpose Centre
The multi-purpose centre ‘Solea’ started its operation on the 1st of May 2001 and its aim is to offer services to the elderly, disabled, school and pre-school children, even infants.
The steering committee of the Solea Multipurpose Centre is made up of 10 volunteers in the area who provide their services free of charge. The Chairman of the Committee is the respective Metropolitan of Morphou.
The Centre operates the following five programs, which are approved and supported by the Ministry of Labor: Institutional Care, Midwifery Care, Home Care, Infant School and Children’s Club.
The Centre is a gem of the Solea area. The building works of the Multipurpose Centre in Evrychou began at the time of the late Metropolitan Chrysanthos, just opposite the building that today houses the Holy Metropolis of Morphou. After his death on the 21st of January, 1996, Mr. Neophytos received the baton of the continuation of the project, when the Metropolitan was enthroned in 1998. The project was completed and improved and its operation began on the 1st of May 2001.
